This year the Tour de BCycle was bigger, better and bike-ier than ever!

Tour de BCycle has grown a lot over the years. What started as a one-day event to visit just 29 stations around Downtown is now a month-long challenge to visit 153 stations spanning 120 sq. miles across Houston to earn as many Neighborhood Badges as possible.

Almost 100 people participated in the Challenge to visit 153 BCycle stations spanning 120 sq. miles across Houston to earn as many Neighborhood Badges as possible. Everyone fully embraced the Tour and we loved seeing the photos, Strava posts and happy faces along the way. In the end, 35 Challengers crossed the finish line as Tour Champions. Thanks for coming along on the ride with us, Houston.

Tour de BCycle Crowns 23 Tour Champions in 2021!

There were so many great stories out of Tour de BCycle 2021. We heard from members who loved seeing parts of Houston they’d never experienced before, members who connected with friends and loved ones, and members who pushed themselves more than they thought possible.

Shannon Carter and Gisele Calderon put in more than 100 miles each on their Tour journey. “Thank y'all for putting on such a fun experience for us!! We really enjoyed getting around the city, feeling synchronized with the surrounding neighborhoods, and experiencing the interconnectivity that is right here for us to utilize! What a thrill!”

Fahad and Reese Hussain just got married and decided to use the Tour as a test of endurance, and their marriage. “For us, it was an opportunity to get out as newlyweds and do a challenge. They say marriage has its challenges, this was just another one to overcome.”

Sankalp Mogulothu was lured by the fantastic prizes, but ended up “falling in love with the entire concept of bumping into cute murals, monuments, sculptures, cafes etc. I believe it was always about getting to know Houston better, and I have very much.” He made this cool video about his Tour journey.
